The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City recently launched self-operated electronic kiosk service, enabling customers to process their transactions on the spot through various service delivery points at its head office here.
The new digital kiosks will enable customers to process their transactions through self-service interactive screens built at multi-faceted high technical specifications capable of facilitating transactions processing in a time and effort-saving exercise.
The kiosk locations include customer service counters, external centres, malls and petrol stations.
The first phase will feature the debut of five services frequently requested by customers relating to lands and properties, which account for as much as 60 per cent of the total daily applications.
The Emirates Identity Card will be used to upload the customer’s basic data, after which the customer can pay the fees via a credit card or in cash by directly feeding the bank notes into the system.
Once the payment process is completed, a machine-generated receipt will be issued to the customer and a printout of the required official documents will be provided by the same system.
Mohammed Ali Al Murar, Director of Customer Service at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, said: “The strategy contributed to providing all services to customers through the external municipal centres, without obliging them to report to the head office, besides capitalising on advanced technologies enabling short-cut procedures and processing of bulky transactions.
